Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, we have been committed to monitoring the situation closely and following all State and Federal guidelines to keep our staff and guests safe. Given the continued threat of COVID-19 and variants of the virus, face masks are required for all indoor areas of Chimney Rock at Chimney Rock State Park, including shuttle buses and the elevator, as of 5pm on 8/20/2021.
Face masks are strongly encouraged outside when social distancing can not be maintained. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation during this time of transition for our state.
Know your 3 Ws!
WEAR – Wear a cloth mask over your nose and mouth.
WAIT – Wait 6 feet apart. Avoid close contact.
WASH – Wash your hands or use hand sanitizer.
Hand sanitizing dispensers are located throughout the Park.
We want to do everything we can to ensure that all our guests have a great experience in the Park and also keep everyone safe. We sincerely appreciate your understanding and support during these unprecedented times.
If you are planning to visit the Park, here is additional information you need to know:
-The Chimney Rock section of the Park will be open daily, weather permitting. The Ticket Plaza’s hours are from 8:30am to 5:30pm. Guests can stay until 7pm.
-If the top parking lot is full, we will direct guests to park in the Meadows. Shuttle service up to the top parking lot will be available. If you are able to do so, we recommend you hike the Four Seasons trail up the mountain.
-The elevator is open and will take guests up who came together in the same vehicle (limit 8 per trip). To prevent long lines in the Sky Lounge gift shop we recommend that guests who are able take the scenic Outcroppings trail down to the top parking lot.
-Our associates will be taking appropriate precautions to protect the safety of ourselves and all our guests. See our We Care Commitment.
Please recreate responsibly during your visit. Stay safe!
This plan is subject to change depending on circumstances. We appreciate your support and understanding during these unprecedented times and look forward to seeing you on the mountain sometime soon.
