Join a Park Naturalist to meet some of our resident Animal Ambassadors.  Participants will learn what kind of wildlife inhabits the Park and their important role in the ecosystem.  You might even leave with a newfound appreciation for critters you once misunderstood.

Naturalist Niche: Summer Birding
Time: 7:30 am - 9:30 am

Chimney Rock State Park is a bird watcher’s paradise. A countless variety of native and migrant birds can be found here during this time of the year. Join a local birding expert for a two-hour bird finding expedition. You never know what species you might see, so bring your camera! This hike is considered moderate. Bask in lunar energy during this full moon yoga session with Namaste in Nature. The mountains are said to be a natural vortex of spiritual energy, which makes Chimney Rock an ideal setting for connecting your spirit with nature.

Lightweight yoga mats will be provided by your certified yoga teacher. This class is open to all levels of expertise. Advance registration is required. Book your spot below.

Nature at Night Hike
Time: 7:30 pm - 9:30 pm
Cost: $25 Adult, $8 Adult Annual Passholder, $15 Youth, $6 Youth Rockin’ Discovery Passholder. Advance registration required.

Come observe the Park under a shadow of darkness and watch as it comes alive. Join a Park naturalist as you hike along the Hickory Nut Falls trail, a moderate hike. You never know what nocturnal animals you may hear or see.  You will want to bring a headlamp or flashlight, dress appropriately for the weather, wear comfortable hiking shoes and bring water. Space is limited to 15, and advance registration is required. Reserve your spot below.
