Why Senior Groups Love Us

Animal Encounters.

Learn about the mountains from a Park Naturalist and the Animals that call it home. We offer a variety of animal programs that will introduce your group to the Park’s education birds or some of our furrier teammates.

Mountain Entertainment.

John Mason entertains Park visitors from the early spring through the fall with a variety of tunes played on his traditional mountain dulcimer.  He has traveled the southeast playing and perfecting his skills over the years, which is why his performances dazzle audience members.

Exercise options.
The Outcroppings trail, the only option for accessing the Chimney while the elevator is being repaired, has wide stairs and landings every 12 feet that offer resting and viewing spots along its scenic route.

All rest rooms in the Park are ADA-compliant.

Good Eats. And great getaways.

The Old Rock Café prepares and serves delicious catered meals for groups, with delicious local food options from farm-fresh fruits and vegetables to grass-fed beef.

Coach Driver Information –

When you reach Chimney Rock Village, you will see the main Park entrance sign and gate. Pass through the gate, cross the bridge and continue up the road 1.5 miles to the Ticket Plaza.

Once you arrive at the Ticket Plaza, please pull to the left of the building and have your escort check in at the counter inside.

From the Ticket Plaza, follow the road to our 5-acre Meadows. At the stop sign, proceed straight onto the gravel road and continue to the top of the Meadows to our Park shuttle area. Motorcoach parking is along the wood rails and is designated by parking signs. We ask that you “think green” and do not leave your bus engine idling.

Wheelchairs

The Classroom on the Meadows, Cliff Dwellers Gifts, the Sky Lounge Gift Shop & Deli, the large picnic pavilion on the Meadows, all rest rooms and the Old Rock Café are handicap accessible. Please ask us if you need to accommodate a handicapped guest.
