Hours, Rates and Other Information

Due to winter capital improvements, the Outcroppings and Skyline trails will be closed until spring 2012. There is currently no access to the Chimney and points of interest above, including the Opera Box, Devil’s Head and Exclamation Point. The elevator and Sky Lounge will also remain closed until spring 2012. Read more about improvements, winter hours and reduced admission.

The Park and Old Rock Café are closed on Thanksgiving and Christmas Day.

Regular Rate Reduced Rate* through 3/31/12

*Rates are reduced due to capital improvement projects. Reduced rates will remain in effect until the Elevator Modernization, Sky Lounge Gift Shop & Deli Renovation and Outcroppings trail replacement projects are completed in spring 2012. Learn more details about our capital improvements.

WINTER RATES
When adverse winter weather conditions mandate the closing of the Hickory Nut Falls trail to the waterfall, adult admission will be $5 and ages 15 & under will be admitted free. There are NO discounts taken off this Winter Rate.

We offer a discounted admission rate to seniors (age 65 and older). Ask for your senior discount and show picture ID verifying your date of birth to save $2 off reduced admission.

AAA members who show their cards can save $2 off reduced rate adult and $1 off reduced rate youth admission prices. Show your card and save at our Ticket Plaza.

ONLY ONE discount is applicable to all ages.

GO Blue Ridge Card

Chimney Rock at Chimney Rock State Park will accept Go Blue Ridge card admissions through March 15, 2012, so please add us to your itinerary! We look forward to seeing you soon!

 

 

Chimney Rock at Chimney Rock State Park is publicly owned by the state of North Carolina and is privately operated by Chimney Rock Management, LLC. Park associates are dedicated to the preservation of Dr. Lucius Morse’s legacy. Your admission ticket and other purchases play a vital role in helping to preserve and protect this natural wonder and making it accessible to all.

Pets on a leash are welcome in all outdoor areas of the Park.
