Say “I do” at Chimney Rock. Exchange your wedding vows against the backdrop of some of nature’s most spectacular scenery. The incredible rock formations found at Chimney Rock, roughly at 2500 feet in elevation, took more than half a billion years to develop and are truly stunning. Chimney Rock at Chimney Rock State Park features breathtaking landscapes, including the 75-mile panorama of the Blue Ridge Mountains from atop the Chimney and the dramatic cascade of Hickory Nut Falls. Choose from our most popular locations to stage your special day, create a combination of venues or find a spot in the Park to call your own.

Chimney Rock

The view from the Chimney is exquisite. Guests take the tunnel to our 26-story elevator inside the mountain and are whisked to the Chimney level in under a minute. From your arrival in the Sky Lounge, it’s just a short walk along the scenic boardwalk and up 44 stairs to the very top of the Chimney. Up to 15 guests, seasonal availability, may not be available weekends in July and October or holiday weekends; call for details

Lake Lure Lookout

The view is essentially the same as from atop the Chimney but without the stairs and in a bit more intimate setting. Take the elevator to the Sky Lounge and walk across the patio to this secluded landing with a spectacular view of Lake Lure. Up to 10 guests

Vista Rock

The same stunning view as from atop the Chimney, just at a slightly lower elevation – and with a bit more privacy. To access this beautiful spot, guests must hike about 150 stairs on the Outcroppings trail. Up to 15 guests

The Pavilion

With Chimney Rock as the backdrop, the wide-open views of our mountains surround you as you prepare to exchange vows. Our largest venue is accessible by vehicle and perfect if your wedding party includes guests requiring handicapped access. Optional tent and chair rentals provide additional covered or open seating for larger groups. Up to 150 guests

The Outdoor Classroom

The most private of all our wedding venues, this secluded spot is perfect for your scenic outdoor ceremony. Benches open to the Carolina Blue sky provide comfortable seating with rustic flavor. Up to 70 guests

The Old Rock Café

Plan your dream wedding on the riverside and your reception under the canopy of our deck for a day you and your guests will never forget. The gentle sound of the Rocky Broad River is the perfect accompaniment to your vows on the shore. Located at the base of the mountain in charming Chimney Rock Village, the Old Rock Café provides incomparable views of both Chimney Rock and Hickory Nut Falls for your celebration. Up to 50 guests

Hickory Nut Falls

Savor the view of all 404 feet of Hickory Nut Falls at the end of the moderate hiking trail, framed by massive rock walls and misted with the spray of the cool water cascading down the majestic mountain. Guests must hike the trail (1.5 miles round-trip) to reach this memorable spot. Up to 15 guests, seasonal availability; call for details
