Meet Our Rock Climbing Instructors

We’ve partnered with the Southeast’s leader in climber education, Fox Mountain Guides and Climbing School, to offer guests all levels of rock climbing instruction with a variety of routes to try — and depending on your skill and ability, possibly a climb on the Rock itself. Rock climbing and rappelling adventures are available to individuals, families and groups (school, church, scout and corporate) year-round, weather permitting. Fox Mountain Guides is the only AMGA-Certified program in the Southeast and is proud of the fact that they have the most highly-trained and certified guides in the Southeastern US.

Meet Jeremy Devine, our climbing school director here at the Park. You'll find him at Vista Rock on weekends (weather permitting) ready to "show you the ropes."

Fox Mountain Guides owner Adam Fox says, "Our philosophy is that you deserve the most credentialed and experienced instructor possible, so we only hire AMGA-Certified instructors and guides. We are the only guide service in the Southeast, if not the country, that upholds this high standard. All our guides hold the Wilderness First Responder first aid certification or higher, such as Wilderness Emergency Medical Technician."

Adam and his team can hook you up, literally! Whether it’s for an introduction to the sport with a top rope climb or a multi-pitch climb for those who have been at it for years, they’ll tailor each adventure to your individual or group needs.
