Our six trails will get your heart pumping and your body moving. Now that's a win for your body and your bank account.Looking Back2007 was a monumental year for Chimney Rock Park. As many of you know, the Morse family acted as stewards of this land and its splendor for more than 105 years. For the past 21 years, that job has been the passion of Park President Todd Morse. Recently, a commemorative sign was added to the elevator tunnel detailing the legacy of the Morse family in Chimney Rock Park, Lake Lure and the entire Hickory Nut Gorge. It is with sadness that we bid farewell to Todd. At the dedication of the sign, more than 30 present and previous Park associates, community friends and family gathered to pay tribute. A common theme was heard in each of their memories of Todd and Chimney Rock Park – leadership with character, integrity, and most importantly of all, heart. Todd, we will miss you greatly. Your vision for Chimney Rock Park is our foundation, and your love of the place and the people is our momentum. It is because of your dedication to preserving and sharing your beloved Park that future generations will have the chance to make memories at Chimney Rock Park.Looking AheadWe're excited about all the amazing things we've got planned for 2008.
