Season's Greetings from your friends at Chimney Rock Park!

Baby, it’s cold outside. It seems that the chilly weather is finally here to stay, but don’t let that keep you from visiting the Park this winter. Hiking is the perfect cure for cabin fever and a great way to keep some of those holiday calories at bay. Plus, winter hiking at Chimney Rock Park means expansive, uninterrupted views of Lake Lure and the Hickory Nut Gorge.

And, you can get away from the holiday rush by slipping away to the Park for a little peace and quiet. Or, check our gift shops, Cliff Dwellers and the Sky Lounge, for unique holiday gifts for everyone on your list. The quaint shops of Chimney Rock Village, Bat Cave and Lake Lure are also great places to find something special for your someone special.

Santa Claus is coming to town!

That’s right, for the 15th year, Santa Claus will practice climbing down our 315’ Chimney before loading up the sleigh, hitching up the reindeer and climbing down millions of chimneys around the world. Santa will be at the Park Saturdays, December 1 and 8 from 11am to 2pm. Free with Park admission – and bring your camera to snap some great shots of Santa in action!

So, be sure to bring the kids and kick off the holiday season with a fun-filled day at Chimney Rock Park.
