This year, NC State Parks is celebrating its centennial. Chimney Rock, privately owned for over 100 years, was acquired by the state of NC in 2007 and is a proud youngster in the state parks system. Many memories have been made at the Park, and we invite you to share images of your own in our “100 Years of Memories” photo contest. Whether it’s your engagement at Hickory Nut Falls, your child pretending she’s a turtle on our Great Woodland Adventure trail or an image of your family gazing out for the first time on the 75-mile views from the top of the Rock, we want to see your most cherished memory of your time at Chimney Rock. You can upload up to three photos to our Facebook page using the #100Memories hashtag or email them to us at firstname.lastname@example.org from April 1-May 31 for the chance to win one of three amazing prizes, including free tickets to Chimney Rock, an overnight stay at the Esmeralda Inn and more
