There's absolutely nothing we love more than hearing all about your visit to Chimney Rock. Every day families, couples, friends and even strangers make memories here.
Here's a sampling of what others are saying about us.
From the Triad Smarty Pants Blog:
We decided to hike the .75 mile trail to Hickory Nut Falls. The trail felt a little long after already having our hike to Exclamation Point, but don’t give up! It is well worth the hike. Once we arrived at the base of the 404 foot Hickory Nut Falls, we were in for a great surprise! The kids were able to climb on the rocks and enjoy the cool refreshing waterfall! We hung out here for at least thirty minutes while the children played in the water. The entire area was just breathtaking. As always, photos do not do it justice. Read the rest of the entry. (That's blog post author Rachel and her kids high atop Chimney Rock.)

Chimney Rock should be a must see on every visit to this area! The view alone is beyond worth it!
SuzieQTravels had this to say: I totally enjoyed my time at Chimney Rock. What a thrill to climb stairs to the top and then take an elevator back to my car. You can do the elevator both ways. The views were stupendous. Lake Lure is in the distance.
MariefromGeorgia notes:
It [the elevator] affords people with problems, such as the elderly & handicapped, the opportunity to view the beauty of the area and experience being on top of a mountain, to participate in the family fun that otherwise leaves them out at other state parks which are not accessible to them.
From Just an Ordinary Biker:
We really enjoyed the views. The Chimney Rock Park website states that one can see 75 miles from the peak of Chimney Rock. I don't know about the distance, but it was a great day, awesome sites, and well worth the visit. Check out the great photos and read the rest of the post.
